Pirfenex (Pirfenidone)

Pirfenex 200mg tablet is an antifibrotic agent. It is used to treat mild cases of a lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The exact working of this medication is not known.

This medication contains a generic drug of Pirfenidone as an active ingredient.

Pirfenex tablet is used for the treatment, prevention,control & improvement of the following diseases, conditions, and symptoms

Mild to average idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Chronic fibrotic and inflammatory lung disease.

Pirfenex 200mg tablet helps to reduce fibrosis (scarring) and to swell in the lungs.

Take this medicine in the dose and time as advised by your physician. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. This drug is to be taken with food.

Missed Dose

In case you missed a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is near to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your dosing schedule.

Do not use an added dose to build up to a lost dose. If you are habitually losing doses, consider setting the alarm or asking your family member to remind you. Please consult with your doctor to talk about change in your dosing plan or a new timetable to build up for missed doses, if you have lost too many doses freshly.

Overdose

Don’t use more than the suggested doses. Taking more medicine will not grow your symptoms; rather, they may cause poisoning or dangerous reaction. If you have, think that you or anyone else who may have overdosed of these tablets, please go to the crisis section the closest clinic or health center. Take a drug box, holder, or name with you to help doctors with the required information.

Don’t give your medicine to other people even if you know that they have a similar position or it seems that they may have the same situation. This may lead to overdosage
